Training Ahead Australia undertake Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments on behalf of employers, contractors and principals.
Australian health and safety legislation requires employers to ensure employees are competent in equipment operation and the tasks to be performed.
VOC is a method of assessment that assists employers to meet Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and assures staff are competent to operate equipment or perform a task. VOC’s also ensure that the original decision of competence was valid and reliable.
Training Ahead Australia can verify competencies on within the rail industry.
Who needs VOC Assessments?
Those who are starting a new position or changing sites that need to prove competency.
Cost
$250 per VOC
Where are they done?
All VOCs are completed on site
Duration
Between 1 -4 hrs pending piece of machinery.
Prerequisites
Candidates must hold the competency for the machinery being verified.
The Process
The assessment include knowledge theory testing and practical demonstration of skills i.e. observing the candidate operating mobile plant in the field.
Upon Completion
Once verified, candidates will receive a Training Ahead Australia Verification of Competency Record (VOC). They will also recieve a wallet size card
