Traffic Controller and Traffic Manager Implementer 1 Combined Course (Victoria)

This course provides the skills are for the individuals who will be responsible for stopping and starting traffic in Temporary Traffic Management on urban streets and low volume rural roads and for traffic management implementation.

As per the Asutroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, the Traffic Controller 1 (RIISS00058 Traffic Controller Skill Set) and Traffic Manager Implementer 1 (RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set) covers the functions on TTM Category 1 environments.

TTM Category 1 are inclusive of single carriageway roads with a posted speed limit of:

• less than 60 km/h where the AADT is less than 10,000, or
• 110 km/h or less where the AADT is less than 3,000

Note: The fee includes the Austroads registration fee.

Traffic Controller Category 1 Course – Victoria (TC1)

This course provides the skills are for the individuals who will be responsible for stopping and starting traffic in Temporary Traffic Management on urban streets and low volume rural roads.

As per the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, the Traffic Controller 2 (RIIWHS207 Control traffic on high volume roads) covers the functions on TTM Category 2 environments.

TTM Category 2 are inclusive of the following:

• High-volume roads
• Signalized intersections
• Multi-lane or divided roads
• Major urban roads

Traffic Management Implementer Category 1 – Victoria (TMI1)

This course provides the skills for the individuals who will be traffic management implementation on a site and road workers under their direction on Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 roads.

As per the Asutroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, the Traffic Manager Implementer 1 (RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set) covers the functions on TTM Category 1 environments.
