Your Entitlement
Under section 67 of the Victorian Occupational Health and Safety Act (the OHS Act) 2004 an employer, if requested, must allow an elected HSR and elected deputy HSR to attend a WorkSafe-approved HSR Initial OHS Training Course on paid time, pay the cost of the course and any other associated costs. Section 67 also allows HSRs to choose the course in consultation with their employer.

Traffic Management Victoria
TC1 and TMI1 Combined Traffic Management and Traffic Manager Implementer 1 Combined Course (Victoria)
The TC1 and TMI1 Combined Traffic Management course provides the skills are for the individuals who will be responsible for stopping and starting traffic in Temporary Traffic Management on urban streets and low volume rural roads and for traffic management implementation.
As per the Asutroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, the Traffic Controller 1 (RIISS00058 Traffic Controller Skill Set) and Traffic Manager Implementer 1 (RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set) covers the functions on TTM Category 1 environments.

- 12 day block of virtually facilitated training sessions + online learning
- 12 days completed over 1 day per week + online learning
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment: Presentation Days
Training Ahead offers all students completing their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with us the opportunity to attend one of our scheduled presentation days to complete the practical observation tasks required for facilitating group training. This is held at our Melbourne office and the workshop is conducted with a qualified assessor present to observe and assess the practical components.
Students are required to complete the knowledge component prior to booking a presentation day.
Training Delivery Requirements
Under ASQA guidelines for the TAE40122 qualification, all training deliveries must be conducted in person or face-to-face. Participants will need:
- A group of four adults for the 3 x 30-minute group training sessions.
- Two additional adults for the 2 x 30-minute individual training sessions.
Training Ahead provides two options for completing these sessions:
- Record your in-person training sessions and submit the videos for assessment.
- Attend one of our dedicated presentation days at our Melbourne office.
For those attending presentation days, we will ensure a group of at least four adult learners is available at our Newcastle office to meet the delivery requirements.
Important Notes:
- You will have only one opportunity to utilise these scheduled presentation days, so ensure you are fully prepared and attend as per the delivery schedule provided.
- If you do not attend your scheduled session, you will need to arrange four adults, conduct the training sessions, record them, and upload the videos to your student portal for assessment
What is the cost?
This workshop is included in the course fee for Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Can students from other RTOs completing their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment attend?
Yes, students completing studies at other RTOs are able to attend for a $250 fee. They are to book by calling the office on 1300 355 900.
