TAESS00021 Facilitation Skill Set – Virtual Classroom

This skill set provides individuals with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate training under supervision in the vocational education and training (VET) sector, using a face-to-face, in-person delivery model.

The TAESS00021 Facilitation Skill Set contains two units of competency from the full TAE40122 Certificate IV Training and Assessment:

  • TAEDEL411 Facilitate vocational training
  • TAEDES412 Design and develop plans for vocational training

These units can be provided as credit towards TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Outcome:

TAA Admission Requirements:

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Assessment has specific entry requirements, as per training.gov.

  • Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area.
  • Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

 

Assessment Requirements

As outlined by ASQA, students are required to conduct the training deliveries in person/face to face. Due to this, virtual TAESS00021 students must be able to either attend a TAA venue on presentation days or video record their in person training sessions. (Virtual students will need a group of four adults for group training sessions and two other adults for individual training sessions).

Note: Students can complete this at the Melbourne Office as a part of scheduled presentation days, if required.

Computer and IT requirements

Students are required to have their own computer or laptop. All resources are provided digitally in your student portal.  In addition, you will need:

  • You will also need to have MS Word and MS PowerPoint installed on your Laptop or PC.
  • Have reliable internet
  • Have speakers or headphones
  • Have access to a webcam and microphone
  • Have access to a quiet area to complete your classes.

You will also need to be able to do the following:

  • Have a reliable internet connection
  • Use the internet and navigate through the website
  • Able to create and send/receive emails including opening attachments
  • Cut and paste in MS Word and use Word tables
  • MS Word: Save and open a document, cut and paste information and create tables
  • Upload documents and videos.
  • Create basic PowerPoint Presentations

  • Passport

Students will not be issued a Qualification Testamur or Statement of Attainment without a valid USI.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy
  • Students are required to have the ability to read and write English
  • The ASQF level of this training program has been assessed to be level 4
  • Students are required to have at least Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills. Please advise if you have any language, literacy, or numeracy needs; or difficulties reading, writing, or speaking English.

All individuals entering into this training course are subject to an LLN assessment prior to enrolment. If the LLN assessment does not adequately assess the candidates LLN level or there is any ambiguity, the assessor will conduct a secondary interview to determine the candidates LLN level and take appropriate action, in accordance with TAA’s LLN procedures.

Where a candidate is determined to not meet the required LLN skills required they will not be enrolled in the training program.

Government Funded Training

This course is not eligible for Government Subsidies through Training Ahead Australia.
