NSW – Health and Safety Representative Initial Course

The Health and Safety Representative initial training course is designed for newly elected Health and Safety Representatives and Deputy Health and Safety Representatives in New South Wales, who have requested training.

This course provides the knowledge and understanding to allow participants to perform the role of a Health and Safety Representative in New South Wales.

The WHS Act 2011 entitles a HSR to attend a course of training in work health and safety after being elected, within 3 months of making their request to their PCBU. It is a requirement that employers allow the HSR time off work to attend training.
