Metro Train Track Safety Awareness
You can book the stand alone Metro Train Track Safety Awareness or combine it in a package that includes your Category 3 Rail Medical and your Rail Industry Worker Card.
- This course has been developed to provide the necessary skills and knowledge for an individual to enter and perform works in the rail corridor in conformance with mational industry requirements.
- This course is also known as the Metro TTSA.
Do you need your Category 3 Rail Medical and Rail Industry Worker Card as well?
- Category 3 Rail Medicals are completed at Training Ahead between 6:30am – 8:30am prior to the commencement of every course
- TAA can assist you set up your Rail Industry Worker Card

When does the course expire: | The unit of competency does not expire however the Metro Certificate of Achievement expires every 2 years. |
What to bring and wear: |
The practical will be completed in a simulated rail corridor and full PPE will be required. The following PPE is a mandatory requirement:
If PPE is not provided, it can be purchased from the Training Ahead office for $40 (This includes a hard hat, vest, and safety glasses). |

You are required to bring photo ID, ideally the following two types
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Passport
Yes, it is delivered by Aakira Pty Ltd trading as Training Ahead Australia
(RTO Code: 45462).
Training Ahead does not provide any guarantee that:

This course does not require work placements.

Students will not be issued a Qualification Testamur or Statement of Attainment without a valid USI.
- Students are required to have the ability to read and write English
- The ASQF level of this training program has been assessed to be level 2.
- Students are required to have at least Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills. Please advise if you have any language, literacy, or numeracy needs; or difficulties reading, writing, or speaking English.
All individuals entering into this training course are subject to an LLN assessment prior to enrolment. If the LLN assessment does not adequately assess the candidates LLN level or there is any ambiguity, the assessor will conduct a secondary interview to determine the candidates LLN level and take appropriate action, in accordance with TAA’s LLN procedures.
Where a candidate is determined to not meet the required LLN skills required they will not be enrolled in the training program.
This course is not eligible for Government Subsidies through Training Ahead Australia.
